Get It Beauty | ceLABrity V Fit Mask Review

Hey guys! Greeting a Happy Easter Sunday to everyone!
In this post, I will be sharing my review on the ceLABrity V Fit Mask by Get It Beauty.

Before anything else, let's talk about what V-masks do and why they've become a part of the beauty trend. V-masks, in a straight-up definition, are masks which aim to achieve that well-defined jawline without having the need to undergo surgical procedures. V-masks function to lift the lower parts of the face while also shaping the chin area. Having that 'V-shaped jawline' has been long part of the list of desired facial features, especially among Korean women. It probably reflects that youthful-looking and glowing skin which targets those who are worried about how to additionally prevent the appearing signs of aging (which include fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging skin). That tugging and lifting factor that V-masks are made to do are probably what attracts and influences this skincare product to inevitably be a part of an ongoing beauty trend.

Some of you may already be familiar with Get It Beauty. That's because it's a popular television talk show in Korea (on 'On Style Network') which showcases a range of topics from beauty, skincare, and even health. They have show hosts and invited guests to share their knowledge in their fields of expertise (makeup artists, beauty editors, online beauty content creators, professors, etc.) and present recommended products for those targeted issues people may have with keeping up an effective routine/lifestyle such as newbies in skincare and beauty (🙋), enthusiasts, and even just for those who are curious or find such information interesting. Previous and current hosts include (not all are mentioned btw) Eugene (actress and S.E.S. member), Yoo Inna (actress), Lee Hanui (actress), Soyou (SISTAR member), Jang Yoonju (model), Dara (2NE1 member), Kim Sejeong (gugudan member), Joy (Red Velvet member), and Lee Seyoung (actress).

I didn't get to watch all episodes (since I would just hit play on short clips I found from their Youtube channel), but I enjoyed listening to their pieces of advice for a better skincare (and makeup) routine when I was in my last year of high school (circa 2012/2013-ish) up until I was in already in uni. I was also fascinated with how they invited models, music artists, and actresses/actors to share their own know-how in maintaining their youthful glow while being on-cam or off-cam. So after a couple of years, you could just imagine my excitement of finding this brand on the shelf of a local department store.

Since I've shared my personal fascination with the show associated with the brand, let me share some bit of info from the brand. As I've mentioned "Get It Beauty" has been Korea's first and no.1 beauty show since having started in 2007. Sharing a whole lot of knowledge in beauty and skincare trends in the Korean Beauty industry, Get It Beauty has formed their brand centering on cosmetics and skincare products to share and spread through the international market. Other outlets where you could purchase Get It Beauty products (aside from the Duty-Free Shop in South Korea) are in other Watsons branches in Hongkong, Taiwan, Malaysia, and Singapore.

Aside from this variant, there are three other masks which are:
→ Get it Beauty ceLABrity Pure Mask
(for calming skin troubles and controlling excess oil production),
→ Get it Beauty ceLABrity Shining Mask
(for even skin tone and a brighter, nourished-looking skin), and
→ Get it Beauty ceLABrity Aqua Mask
(for intensive moisture and skin vitality)

Now, keep scrolling down and let's get to reviewing! 👇😄

Claims and Key Ingredients:

"Sagging skin can be lifted with the mask that hooks onto your ears! Provides 35ml of highly concentrated essences for stronger and smoother skin."

This sheet mask aims to let you achieve tight and soft skin, recharged with all the essences packed in this V Fit Mask. This tightens your chin area with its sturdy material and instantly moisturizes it at the same time with ingredients that also call for strong and healthy-looking skin. Listed from the product description, skin qualities that you could probably expect after wearing these include a firm and elastic, soft and enriched, as well as revitalized and refreshed skin.

Notable ingredients in this sheet mask include:
↳ Ceramide which helps in rejuvenating exhausted skin.
This forms a strong moisture barrier and helps to build healthy skin strength by filling the tired skin up with energy. Ceramides are known to form a layer which maintains the plumpness of the skin as well as holds its moisture. They also fight against bacteria and other external irritants like pollutants.

↳ Horse oil which creates vital and healthy-looking skin.
Rich nutrition and moisturizing properties in horse oil also help to keep your tired skin feeling moist and healthy. While moisturizing your skin and keeping it hydrated, horse oil also helps in fighting pimples as it contains anti-inflammatory properties, additionally making it work for all skin types.

Product Review:
You guys already know I got excited when I saw this on the shelves. 😂 I mean, the packaging looked cute. It was bright-colored and had cute mini drawings symbolizing Horse Oil and Ceramide which were the main notable ingredients in this sheet mask variant. I was amazed by the V-fit concept and the mask design which has it reach until the ears. I've seen a couple V-masks online and on TV, but I don't I've spotted an actual one in my local department stores until this one. I got curious, and that made me decide to try it. A few ingredients in the list is also one thing I find interesting since I haven't encountered a number of them (like the Oenothera Biennis/Evening Primrose Flower Extract, Pinus Palustri Leaf Extract, Pueraria Lobata Root Extract, and the Ulmus Davidiana Root Extract).

Now I know this retails cheaper in Althea Korea, but I didn't know these sheet masks existed and bought it right as I saw it on store shelves (since I was excited because it was 'Get It Beauty' haha) while I was buying other sheet masks. I was even thinking that I should've also included the other three variants, but later decided that I wanted to try this one first then decide again whether I would purchase their three other sheet mask variants.

On to the sheet mask material, it's good because of how thick and soft to skin it is. It also makes for easy unfolding and application to the face. This mask is a one-piece mask sheet covering the face up to the neck with holes to hang on your ears. This has a vague but mild scent which I wasn't able to compare anything with. But it's really mild, so there's nothing to worry about that part for those sensitive to fragrances. There was no excess essence in this mask packet, but the mask was soaked with it enough to still make your face feel that recharging moisture.

What's inside the packaging of the ceLABrity V Fit Mask

Honestly, while trying to adjust this on my face, I thought it would tear, but it was actually stretchable and reached to the sides of my face easily (yes, up to the ears and yet I have a bit of a slightly wide frame which makes it difficult for me to find sheet masks with a good facial fit). The material also gets smoothed out easily. The sides and the neck area just unfold a bit from time to time, but everything else is fine. The mask also does make me feel a pull on my face a bit upward while wearing it. The mask fit was a-okay. I didn't think it would fit my face with its unique design and having to attach it until ears, especially with the previous worry about tearing the sheet mask. But it was indeed pretty sturdy. 👍

Sheet mask before use

I forgot to snap a photo for this one, but while donning it, I looked like a wrapped-up mummy since the sheet material was thick and covered well until my neck. 😂 But y' know, I wouldn't complain looking like one if the sheet mask is good. 😉 It was a fun experience trying this is what I wanted to say. I was confused and yet amazed at the same time. This also didn't irritate my skin which is another plus!

After using this mask, I noticed that it tugged my skin upward A BIT. Temporarily, I might add. Nonetheless, it gave a glowy, less stressed-looking skin which felt plump, supple, and hydrated. One thing is also that it didn't leave me with a sticky after feeling which was good but just probably had me expect a bit that it wouldn't show much of a really noticeable difference. I was still contented with this, either way. 😄💖

Similar to other face masks (or even other skincare products), consistency and maintenance are always key to seeing that effect. V-masks like this one from Get It Beauty do aid in lifting and defining that jawline and the sides of your face without needing to go and have a surgery done. The immediate lifting effects don't really last overnight, especially just after one wear of this mask. Again, consistency is still key, and personally, I would say that the ceLABrity V Fit Mask is a good helper if one decides to use this as a go-to V-mask. 😍

Sheet mask unfolded and after use

Pros:
→ Sturdy sheet mask material; thick and soft for the skin
→ Still hydrates the skin well despite not much excess essence
→ Fits okay
→ Adheres well to the skin and smoothes out well
→ After-mask glow and temporary lifting effect (might see better results with consistent use)
→ No irritation to the skin

Cons:

→ A bit on the pricey side

Go-Buy or No-Buy?
For this one, I wanna say that it's a Go-Buy because of how much I was amazed by this mask design. Wearing it was also fun and interesting. I had a few worries with the fit as well as the material, but this mask proved to be a-okay with both of those aspects. Because of the price, however, it might not be an immediate purchase for my sheet mask stash. I was just satisfied with how this mask gives you that bit of a lift on a day when you particularly feel like your stressed skin needs that boost. Again, its ingredients are also one thing I find interesting since I haven't encountered a number of them in skincare products yet. Another point related is also how I like that it appears to have lesser irritants than previous sheet masks I've tried. I find this to be one of those good once-in-a-blue-moon sheet masks. I would also love to recommend this to other sheet mask lovers who want to try a different way of wearing sheet masks (plus the lesser hassle of worrying that it'll fall off your face 😉👍).

That's all for my review for this ceLABrity V Fit Mask from Get It Beauty.
Hope you enjoyed reading this one! 😊💖
