ABOUT THE PERSON BEHIND 'THE GEMS IN VICTORIA'S NOTEBOOK'

She's a curious and talkative introvert from the Queen City of the South, Philippines who enjoys listening to music (mostly on K-hiphop, some RnB, and occasional good pop tunes and ballads), indulging on green tea and cheesecakes, and putting on face masks. To travel around the world is one of her aspirations in life. Exploring cultures through learning more about languages is something she also finds interesting. As she takes on her blogging journey, she hopes in sharing some gems that she has found to have brought joy in her life (whether big or small).

Why the "The Gems in Victoria's Notebook"?

Let's break it down a bit:

"gems"

↳ I've found out while reading on some sources for a blog name that a gem is the Italian origin/meaning of my first given name (which is Jemma btw).

↳ In the same way, I related it to how I view interesting and feel-good things that I feel like writing about as bright and glistening gems. 💎

"in Victoria's notebook"

↳ Victoria is my second given name.

↳ I chose a notebook in particular because it has become a symbol of what I consider a 'prized possession' as well as my 'outlet for expressing occasional thoughts' that I have ended up collecting over the years (since I was in elementary school).

↳ In that sense, it is reflective of how I am sharing what is in my 'notebook' with all of you who come across this page through reading my posts. 📓

Most of the posts uploaded to this site are on skincare/beauty things (which I'm fascinated but still learning about), food, travel, and some other sweet nothings that I would get to come across. 😄
