Human Nature Mini Haul + Mini First Impressions

(initially published on previous blog on December 27, 2016)

Hello World!
How has your holidays been so far? There's only around a week left before all formal things such as school and some works will be resuming in January next year. It supposedly should sound like a long time, but looking at the dates on my desk calendar makes me feel a little bit excited and nervous at the same time while waiting for 2017.

Anyway, in line with the season of Christmas and giving, I went on another mini haul, and this time, it's from Human Nature. A couple of weeks before the 25th, my family and I visited the Human Nature branch in A.S. Fortuna to  purchase a couple of products for gifts and also for our own personal use.

Maybe it was because of the holidays, Human Nature had these cute and chic boxes that you could have your purchases cased in. I personally fancy the design which had a tropical feel to it with the white background, white plumeria flowers, and the gold embossed label of the brand name.

The products included in the purchase are shown below:

Exfoliating Bar in Strawberry

These exfoliating bars come in two scents, the other one in a Vanilla scent. I decided to get the strawberry one since I'm more drawn to fruity scents. The bar actually smelled like fresh strawberries (which made me almost want to eat it, hahaha). It comes in a light pink color (making it look like that of a strawberry cake slice) with natural loofah exfoliants all around the bar. This one costs Php 84.75.

Flavored Lip Balm in Wild Berry

Besides the Wild Berry flavor, there are four other refreshing flavors available for this lip balm which are Peppermint, Cherry, Cola, and Grape. With the previous product, I think you can already notice a pattern with my preferences on beauty products. I decided to get a hold of this lip balm along with the tinted ones that Human Nature has since these are very convenient to bring along in my small pouch and apply all throughout the day. Both lip balms come in 4g. The flavored one costs Php 79.75 while the tinted one costs Php 89.75.

Tinted Lip Balm in Pink Orchid

Other colors available for the tinted lip balm are Island Kiss and Flame Tree. I chose Pink Orchid initially because I was not quite sure as to how tinted the other shades could get and it was the lightest out of the three. When applied though, it appeared to be not that strongly tinted which was okay. So, I might try the other shades as well when I this one runs out. These tinted lip balms also have a minty feel on the lips when applied which feels refreshing and moisturizing.

Healthy Lotion in Blossom Beauty

Other scents that are also available are Orange Sunrise, Powder Love, and Berry Bliss. For this one, I got more of a flowery scent. It somehow also smells like bubblegum (fruity bubblegum, hahaha). It comes in two sizes, but this bottle is in 50mL which costs Php 64.75. I prefer the smaller bottles when it comes to products such as lotions and perfumes since I like to conveniently pack my things when it comes to traveling (especially for last-minute lazy ones like yours truly).

Hydrating Facial Wash

This hydrating facial wash has a good moisturizing feel on the face afterwards. It has a creamy texture when applied from its moringa and plant collagen. I use this one for my night routine since it calms my skin after a hectic day, compared to previous ones I've used that make my skin somewhat feel uncomfortable. This one which comes in a 50mL bottle, costs Php 79.75.

Balancing Facial Wash

Among all the facial washes that are available in Human Nature, this balancing facial wash is one that I've already tried twice (like, this the second bottle, y'all. you can even see how the bottle's like halfway through already, hahaha). I like how it makes me skin feel thoroughly cleansed after using. Since it has bamboo and loofah bits in, it helps to remove dirt that have accumulated on your skin throughout the day. It feels really refreshing as well because of the 'citrus-sy' oils from the Manila Elemi which they said are effective in controlling oils and breakouts on the face. This is what I use for my morning routine since it makes my skin feel and look active and bright before I leave for uni. This 50mL bottle of the facial wash costs Php 79.75.

Balancing Face Toner

To pair the Balancing Facial Wash, I'm also into my second bottle of this Balancing Face Toner. This toner perfectly complements my morning routine facial wash to make my skin feel extra refreshed and energized in the morning. It even makes my skin somewhat smell like freshly peeled oranges. True to their promise, the Balancing Facial Wash + Toner product line really delivers its purpose. I'm having lesser breakouts compared to those times when I felt unsure of what products to use which ended up making my skin look stressed and like it lost its composure. This 100mL bottle costs Php 99.75.

Sunflower Beauty Oil

Lastly, I also got hold of this rumored HG product, the Sunflower Beauty Oil. I was able to try this product when I was in high school since my mom recommended it to me for fixing my unruly hair during those days. It made my hair feel really nice and shiny which was preferably nice to comb and style up. But after the product ran out, I wasn't able to get a hold of it anymore. During our visit to the store this month, we decided to give this product another go. Lately, I've been applying this on really visible spots and under my eye area after my facial toner during my night routine. I also like how it doesn't make my skin appear oily when I wake up in the morning. I'm sure there are more benefits from this product which I'm surely excited to try out. Definitely a keeper. This one which is in 50mL, costs Php 174.75.

It hasn't been that long yet since I purchased these products, so I'm still going to have to keep tabs on how they will be doing over the following weeks. But one thing's for sure, they've definitely been above-expectation ones. 😄👍

Thanks for reading! Hope you guys are enjoying your holidays, too!

update (March 15, 2019): As previously stated at the start of this post, this post is also one of my favorite 'Blogpost Flashbacks' (or previous blogposts that I enjoyed making and wanted to carry on to this new one; which would explain the holiday vibes being mentioned throughout this post). This became a memorable post for me since the products in this haul were a few of the ones I used to incorporate in a somewhat 'semi-official' skincare routine during my first few years in college. One more thing is that I loved the products and really saw them work their claims after using for around a year and a half. After this, similar to the other product haul I've posted however, I wasn't able to proceed in composing the individual product reviews after using them all. But rest assured, they were all great products and ones I would recommend and repurchase when I get the chance soon. Similar to other 'Blogpost Flashbacks', there were also no major revisions made to this post in order to keep it the way it actually was when I first posted it. :)

'Til the next post,
