Faith in Face | I Need Relaxing Care Pearl Cellulose Mask Review

Hey guys!
Second one up for the #MOTW series is the I Need Relaxing Care Pearl Cellulose Mask from Faith in Face. Keep scrolling to see how this sheet mask did for me.

Claims, Functions, and Key Ingredients:

"Time to take a break! Soothe tired, overworked skin while replenishing moisture and vitality! Your skin will truly appreciate it."

Its main functions are for soothing the skin, moisturizing, as well as increasing the skin's vitality. Key ingredients which include Baobab Tree extract, Aloe Vera Leaf Extract, and Green Tea Leaf extract were added to join forces in calming the skin and enhancing the skin's moisture levels. The mask was made from pearl cellulose sheet said to be derived from skin-friendly, 100% natural materials, creating the calming mask that supplies moisture to soothe and rest the skin.

Instructions and Ingredients list:

Where I was able to purchase: Watsons
Price: Php 109.00

First Impressions:
Aside from the fact that it still has the vintage/retro vibe and light colors going from the packaging like previous mask reviewed, this was the first one I bought among the Faith in Face masks since its main function is '진정케어' (read as 'jinjeong keeo' or 'calming or soothing care'), which is what I always look for in a mask 90-95% of the time since I have an acne-prone, combination skin type. Looking at the details on the packaging, I discover that it's yet another type of sheet mask that I haven't tried yet, getting me all shocked, excited, and curious like wait, what is a 'cellulose sheet mask'? Apparently, 'cellulose sheet masks' are said to usually perform much better than the microfiber sheet masks that get commonly used because they adhere better to the face and the material does not allow the ingredients to evaporate that fast. Things like this really strengthen my realizations that there are still a lot of things out there, still being on the discovery level of this masking/skincare journey of mine. 😅 (on second thought, I might have already used cellulose sheet masks a few years back, but probably just wasn't that aware of the specific kind of material.)

Before use

Product Review:
The sheet mask came along with a protective film to help in the easy unfolding of the mask. As soon as I was about to apply the mask on my face, a powdery smell was present again which was a similar observation to the previously used mask (read the previous review that I'm talking about here).

Having it as the first time in using a cellulose sheet mask, I honestly just almost messily failed my first application that I had to rearrange everything after taking off the protective film from the mask itself. The sheet was just suuuper thin (almost like a second layer of skin). But that was a good thing. It didn't feel heavy to the skin.

For the fit of the mask, it nicely covered my whole face (especially, the sides which is sometimes rare in a few masks 😔); however, the problem was with the bigger holes for the mouth area and the eyes. Aside from that, there were no problems with the sheet. I like how it didn't budge no matter how I tried moving (there's gotta be that test, right?) and even enveloped my face in a tight 'soothing' and 'cooling' hug.

One more bonus part for me, there's a lot of essence in the pack. I was one surprised and happy kid fo sho. 😍 It didn't seem to have a lot of essence in it when I opened, but it was 'the good amount' for me. Even after spending 13 minutes or so, the essence would still be dripping off the mask. The consistency wasn't so runny which made it even better. No stinging and no irritation were observed while using the mask and even to the elbows, knees, and neck (where I applied the excess amount of essence). A thing I observed nearing the mask use was that it smelled faintly of green tea, and I'm definitely not complaining if it was indeed green tea (either way t'was pleasant, still).

After using the mask, my face felt bouncy; but aside from that, there were no other observable effects. During the next day, I noticed that majority of the bumps along my chin and the sides of the face calmed down and were reduced. Just a bummer though that I also gained 2 new ones (but at least they were very small on the cheek and forehead haha). My skin was definitely still adjusting from the lack of sleep and too much consumption of sweets and oily food that I was treating it with during the past couple of days due to my stress from the recent exams week (I should really catch up on retreating my skin). But yeah, there was lesser redness, and my skin tone brightened a bit even though a few marks were still visible. Well, maybe more use in the future will help it adapt better and further.

Pros:
→ Was not difficult to unfold
→ Fit on the face was good
→ Adheres well to the skin
→ Scent was also okay; not too strong
→ Bumps were observed to have calmed and reduced the next day; lesser redness
→ Price was okay for the material, usage, and effects

Cons:
→ Was challenging to apply as a first time user
→ Bigger holes in the mouth and eyes area

Go-Buy or No-Buy?
Definitely a Go-Buy! I'd repurchase this again (if my stocks start running low). Overall, I've got nothing really bad to say about this mask. The cons are tolerable since the mask was not irritating and really fun to use. In fact, it got me interested more in cellulose-type masks. It was a happy purchase for me. 😄

That's my review for the Faith in Face I Need Relaxing Care Pearl Cellulose Sheet Mask.
