Hey guys!
From my first few posts, I think you guys can already guess that I'm into face masks. Face masks of any kind, as a matter of fact. There are a lot of types out there (like the ones shown below) which include creams, clay and gel-types, peel-off ones, exfoliating ones, and of course, the sheet masks. Face mask users also get to benefit from various functions that these masks can provide: anti-aging, moisturizing, nourishing, skin brightening, cleansing, and other skin sensitivity issues.
Talking about the most common ones that the beauty community goes on buzzing about would be Korean face masks which are made of different materials like fiber, pulp, hydro-gel, etc. These sheet masks are infused and packed with essences containing active ingredients that benefit different skin types.
In this post, I will be sharing a series that I plan on doing for the next few months. It's called the #MOTW (or #MaskoftheWeek) where I will be featuring a product review for a certain facial sheet mask every week (not much complexity going on with the title, so let's roll with it 😂). For the past few months, I have been purchasing a number of sheet masks. Maybe not comparable to those huge stashes usually seen around the Internet, but along with the aim of maintaining a lesser collection of items I decided to why not efficiently use these masks that have just been sitting in their own basket (also to save them from reaching their different and somewhat nearing expiration dates). Also, for someone who does not put on a sheet mask every single day (except for that one-time challenge and also lazy me), stacking up on sheet masks might not really be the ideal thing to pursue; however, there's just a little happiness in that. I don't go out to buy beauty or skincare products that often, so whenever I get the chance, I try to make it worth the while. There is no guarantee that doing this blog post series would keep me from still being on the lookout for new face mask goodies, though 😅 (but at least the ball finally gets rolling).
For starters, I'd just show you guys how the current situation is like. As of a present count, it's at 46 pieces from different brands like The Face Shop, Etude House, Esfolio, and Face Republic. The masks I choose when I get to stop by my fave outlets initially got chosen because of the cute packaging or design, but now I tend to look more into the actives/key ingredients that are on front (and even at the back) of the packaging. I lean toward Soothing, Detoxifying, and Moisturizing face masks as I have a Combination Skin Type. So, I'm more on the lookout for ingredients like Centella Asiatica Extract, Aloe Vera Extract, Green Tea, Tea Tree, Cucumber, Honey, Witch Hazel, Salicylic Acid, etc. Other good ingredients that work well together for my skin needs are ones that I would need to read up more on. 👍
So, the ones above are the up and coming sheet masks that I will be reviewing which y'all can look out for. 😇 Updates will also be popping up on my Instagram, so you could check there for the deets as well.
That's all. Thanks for reading!
'Til the next post,
