Crazy Skin | 'Today is Baby Skin' Lifting Mask (오늘동안 리프팅 마스크) Review

Hello friends!
This blog post will be on reviewing Crazy Skin's 'Today is Baby Skin' Lifting Mask.

You might have already seen this mask being reviewed all around the internet these past couple of months, whether it be on Youtube or on Instagram, being dubbed as the "#CrazySkinChallenge" where reviewers would take a video of themselves in the whole process of using this mask kit and letting the audience see how quick you could get results from this product. Crazy, huh?

Also, some of you there may have seen the label on the back of the packaging stating: Oneuldongan Lifting Mask, and be wondering what does the word Oneuldongan mean? Actually, it's just as it is written also on the packaging which stands for Today Baby Skin (or just 'Today is Baby Skin'). 😊 This was definitely one of the reasons I was interested in buying this mask just by seeing it from other reviews. (call me weak, but when it comes to cute packaging and labels, most likely you could already consider me sold 😂🙈) Even by the brand name itself (Crazy Skin) is something I found amusing to see since it's written as 美친스킨 (read as 'michin seukin') which can mean 'crazy skin' when read as is in Hangeul and also has the first character written in Hanja which makes it stand for 'beauty'.

All the more to make you curious and want that crazy, beautiful skin, right?
Mixing the two character systems seemed a fun, witty, and interesting concept for the label (especially for someone who's into learning languages, like 🙋).

This is a tencel sheet mask made to fit all skin types, especially for those with sensitive skin due to its soft and non-irritating material. Additionally, the mask material is said to be biodegradable and non-toxic which makes it also eco-friendly. 😄👍

Where I was able to purchase: SM Store Beauty Section
Price: Php 149.00 (~$ 2.85)

BTW, there are two parts to using this:

1) Oneuldongan Crazy! Lifting Mask
2) Oneuldongan Crazy! Eye Cream

Step Two ✌

Claims and Key Ingredients:

According to descriptions on this mask, it has a visible instant lifting effect, making you help achieve a visibly firmer skin within using it for 8 minutes. This sheet mask claims to keep your excess oil production in control and help your face in appearing shine-free. Another claim is also to help clear your skin blemishes with the help of brightening your face and lightening acne marks and scars.

For the eye cream, it targets aging concerns around the eye area with its skin peptides and 7 plant mixtures. A couple key ingredients include Collagen and Niacinamide Acid Extract which fit the thin and sensitive skin of the eye area.

Notable key ingredients in this mask kit include:

➭ Centella Asiatica Extract
➭ Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract
➭ Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract
(soothes skin while helping to moisturize it as well; good for those with dry and sensitive skin)
➭ Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract
(soothes and protects skin which is especially good for those with oily and acne-prone skin)
Scutellaria Baicalensis (Baikal or Chinese Skullcap) Root Extract
(antioxidant usually found in traditional herbal medicine to help in treating concerns like inflammation, acne, eczema, and psoriasis)
➭ Albumen Extract
(ingredient which moisturizes while tightening the pores, firming the appearance of fine lines)

Product Review:
First impressions right from the packaging were about its cute pastel colors. The packaging looks pretty and cute because of it (plus the soft, rounded font and the picture on the upper right). It also didn't make it seem like it was difficult to use (quite user-friendly). Another thing I also liked, as mentioned in the intro was the wittiness in labeling. Even from those points, I'm definitely curious about other products from this brand now. 😂

Anyway, let's talk about the scent. It was mild, but surely had a hint of a mixture between floral and powdery smell. The mask material, as mentioned, is tencel which has it thin to adhere well on the face and help the skin absorb the essence more. As thin as it was, it was also a bit difficult to unfold, but it had a netted protective sheet in between so it was a bit guided.

Step 1: Lifting Mask
Step 2: Eye Cream

Related to handling the sheet material, the essence was a bit sticky to the touch since it also dries quickly. The mask was even sticky to move around and adjust on the face. Anyhow, it still had an excess amount to apply more on the mask and also some for the neck. As per claim, the mask did adhere well on the face. The fit was okay too on sides except for a bit around the mouth area.

While donning this mask, I could feel that it did tighten on the sides as the essence dried and felt like a thin film on the skin, but I didn't notice that it became as sticky or wrinkly like other reviewers I've seen. Not exactly a minus, though. After using it, I got a bit of a red patch near the lip area (but I'm unsure as to whether this came from the mask). There also weren't much visible lifting effects observed, like the ads. What I noticed was that it helped brighten the skin and made it look less dull and less stressful than pre-sheet masking. Again, I'm not sure with 'lifting' aspect, but it did 'tighten' my pores. One point might be to stretch the mask further when applying it to let it hug more on the sides of the face (which was what I did). There were no stinging nor itchiness observed while donning this mask.

Oneuldongan Crazy! Eye Cream
For the 2nd step which is the eye cream, I think it would be good for around 2-3 uses since there was a lot of product in the mini packet, granting that you will only be applying it around the eye area. As for what I did, I used some product on the other parts of my face and neck. The smell lingers quite long even nearing an hour after application.

Pros:
→ cute packaging
→ mild scent
→ thin sheet mask material which adhered and fit well
→ does tighten on the skin
→ eye cream can still be good for 2-3 uses
→ no stinging or itchiness observed
→ helped brighten face as well

Cons:
→ didn't really observe a lifting effect
→ wasn't much same to the ads or other reviews
→ was a bit difficult to unfold and adjust because of the quickly drying essence

Go-Buy or No-Buy?
I think it wasn't that bad of a 'skin-tightening' sheet mask. It definitely delivered on the skin-tightening aspect and also helped my face look brighter after use which points to their claims on giving you that skin smooth, bright, and soft like a baby's. It was a great after-mask glow and some bumps seemed to calm down, too, probably with the help from the Licorice Root Extract and Centella Asiatica in their ingredients list. There are some cons as to the handling and adjusting part of this sheet mask, but for the mask itself, there's really no negative comment I could think of. The eye cream was a good addition, too! Loved how it wouldn't only serve a one-time use, especially if you aim to apply it only around the eye area. Again, doesn't give the drastic lift after a day of use, but I can see how it helps lessen the tired, dull, stressed look which most likely can be seen around the eyes. It was a good experience, and if it calls for this kind of crazy to add up on that glowy skin, well, I'm up for this kind of crazy any day. 😄💖
That's it for my review on the Crazy Skin 'Today is Baby Skin' Lifting Mask. Thank you for reading!
